The artist and activist collective known as Sahmat pursues "a mission of resistance against forces that threaten the essentially pluralist and democratic spirit of creative expression in India." Professor Gene Nichol will explore the underpinnings of Sahmat's bold charge, both abroad and in North Carolina. Bring your own lunch and add a little culture to your noontime hour!
