Every other year, the children of University United Methodist Church present a special telling of the Christmas story. This is one of those years. More than 100 children will share the age-old story of the birth of Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary.
Children ages 4 through 5th graders will portray the timeless story, playing roles of Mary and Joseph, the innkeeper and his wife, the three wise persons, animals, angels, stars, villagers, shepherds and narrators. They will also lead the congregation in the singing of Christmas carols throughout the pageant.
The community is invited to this fun-filled event, followed by a short reception.
