Yoga in the Forest at Forest Theater

  • The Forest Theater 155 Country Club Rd Chapel Hill, NC, 27514 United States

The first outdoor drama held at the Forest Theater was in 1916. And now a donation outdoor yoga class with Franklin Street Yoga Center to benefit Susie's Fund.

Connect with fellow yogis and nature while practicing sun salutations in the sun and savoring the inspiring vistas of the stone theater and surrounding forest.

Wear your neon colors and let's create an unforgettable morning together. Our 9am and 11am classes will be canceled. If it rains, we will hold classes as usual at the studio. BYOM - Bring Your Own Mat. There is a lot of street parking and there is the Cobb Deck behind the Paul Green Dream Theater

You may want to bring a towel for underneath your mat - otherwise your mat will most likely get dirty. This is an all levels class and 100% of the donations will go to Susie's Fund. www.susiesfund.com

A dog Toby arrived at the shelter in April with third degree burns. He is now at the NC State's School of Veterinary Medicine where his skin grafts and surgeries will total over $10,000.

Susie's Fund is a fund that is used by the non-profit United Animal Coalition that operates the Guilford County Animal Shelter. 100% of these funds are used to treat animals that arrive at the shelter that have been abused, neglected or injured, to give them the medical care they deserve to get adopted and live happy healthy lives in a new family.

In addition they partner with the Humane Society of The United States to rescue, rehabilitate and heal animals suffering from neglect in puppy mill situations.
