Under the patronage of HRH the Prince of Wales, the English Baroque Soloists – a section of the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique – have long been established as one of the world’s most beloved period instrument orchestras. Throughout their repertoire, ranging from Monteverdi to Mozart and Haydn, they are equally at home in chamber, symphonic and operatic repertoire and the distinctive sound of their warm and incisive playing is instantly recognizable. Famous over the past 45 years for its virtuosic singing, The Monteverdi Choir has consistently been acclaimed as one of the best choirs in existence, noted for its ability to switch composer, language and idiom with complete stylistic conviction. Here, they perform the exquisite Vespro della Beata Vergine by the late Renaissance composer Claudio Monteverdi.

Classical music performances are made possible by The William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust. We thank the Trustees for their visionary generosity.
