Music in Flux: The Conceptual Art and Music of Nam June Paik
Discussion & Interactive Performance with the Experimental Music Study Group

This Sunday’s Music in the Galleries will begin with a discussion of artist Nam June Paik, a featured artist in the current exhibition Testing Testing. Members of the Experimental Music Study Group will discuss Paik’s relationship to the musical world and to the artistic network Fluxus, of which other prominent experimental artists like John Cage and Yoko Ono were a part. The audience will be invited to examine and perform some of Paik’s Fluxus musical scores, as well as works by other Fluxus artists.

Following this, experimental Triangle-based music collective Cyanotype will perform in the galleries.
