Hey Guy performing at Local 506

Local 506 and The Cave present

Hey Guy

Fri, May 13, 2016

Doors: 8:00 pm / Show: 9:00 pm

Local 506, Chapel Hill, NC

Tickets: $7.00

Bold and memorable as their name, Hey Guy is a modern rock act with equal parts ferocity and finesse. Their catchy songs are cunningly layered, exhibiting a knack for uncanny melodies. From fierce riffs to sprawling atmospherics, their self-titled LP, multiple single releases and most recent EP (Hey Guy III) deliver a spectrum of innovative songs. Imagine if the Beach Boys jammed with Queens of the Stone Age and you've got a party courtesy of Hey Guy.

With a live show that blends composed musicianship amidst hilarious theatrics, Hey Guy has garnered popular acclaim in the New York City scene, conquering venues such as Blender Theater, The Mercury Lounge and Irving Plaza. On the net, their YouTube channel has a strong following, presenting an offbeat sense of humor within meticulously crafted concepts and some serious musicianship.

Their message is simple: "You're perfect! Disarm your fears and rejoice in your life."

Super Bowl 50 at The Crunkleton

Super Bowl 50

Due to a recent cancellation, the bar is now available to be reserved for Super Bowl viewing! If you want to host a Super Bowl party but do not want all of the mess, let The Crunkleton host your party. They have two large screen HD TV's and digital surround sound, and catering options are available if desired.

Super Bowl Sunday is often one of the slowest days of the year at the bar, so they usually like to see if anyone would like to use the space for a private party. If you are interested in learning about the details, send them an email and let's make it happen.

It's our year Panthers Nation. Keep Pounding.

A 506 New Years with Benji Hughes

A 506 New Years with Benji Hughes

Thu, December 31, 2015

Doors: 8:00 pm / Show: 9:00 pm

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Benji Hughes spends much of his time masterminding his blend of inventive rock and ballads. At times earnest, at others whimsical, Benji is equally adept at keyboards and guitar. He loves beer but he loves women even more. Underneath his thick mane of strawberry blond hair and beard is a versatile singer/songwriter, full of heart. His music collection -- spanning everything from The Crystals, Merle Haggard, and Kinky Friedman to Talking Heads, The Cars, and Slayer -- is as wild as his gracious exterior.
