MINOR POET (RVA / sub pop) - "Minor Poet is the brainchild of Richmond, VA songwriter Andrew Carter. In May 2019, Sub Pop Records released The Good News, a six song collection of sumptuous, harmony-filled indie rock that slyly nods to the music of the 60’s while still carving out new territory. Recorded by Adrian Olsen (Natalie Prass, Foxygen) at Montrose Recording, these songs are brought to life on stage by an incredible cast of local Richmond musicians"

SAMMI LANZETTA (RVA / 6131 records) - "As a new voice in the crowded world of indie rock, the Richmond, Virginia singer-songwriter creates songs that could be encouraging when the rest of the world isn't; raw anthems for standing up for yourself and celebrations of both strength and vulnerability. Sammi Lanzetta's mixture of self-effacement and determination is the hallmark of her work, especially as she turned from previous time spent in bands and focused more purposefully on her solo efforts. Lanzetta’s dedication to simply being herself feels staunchly singular and incredibly inviting at the same time. And with every burst of gritty guitar, undeniable hook, or relatable insight, Lanzetta makes it clear that her debut 'For Avery' is for everyone."
