Glee Kids is happy to announce two mini session photography dates for Darling Art Photography.  The price is $75 for the 15 minute session plus any portraits ordered for up to 2 children (if siblings) with Darling Art photographers Rebecca Mudrick and Dena Robles.  Each session will result in 5 - 7 images presented in a private online gallery. Laser Light Shows are Back at Morehead!

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center hosts five amazing laser shows on Friday and Saturday nights this fall: Laser Classic Rock, 7 p.m.; Laser U2, 8 p.m.; Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, 9 p.m.; Laser Zeppelin, 10 p.m.; Pink Floyd's The Wall, 11 p.m. Each show combines hit music with choreographed multicolor laser imagery for a sensory experience unlike any other! Tickets for each laser show experience are $9.50 per adult, $7.50 per student or Morehead member. Because these are premium shows, discount coupons, passes and "free admission" membership benefits are NOT VALID for laser shows.  Visit for more information.

"We Shall Not Be Moved: African Americans in the South, 18th Centery to Present" exhibit includes a set of 19th-century shackles, reportedly used for slaves, and an original brochure from the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, the occasion of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.These items and 100 more will be displayed in a free public exhibit at the Wilson Special Collections Library of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Spend the evening on the West End and take advantage of FREE Valet Parking six nights a week! Monday through Saturday - 5:00pm to 11:00pm. Courtesy Valet Parking is provided to patrons of participating businesses with a validated parking receipt. Downtown visitors enjoying other establishments can also use the valet service for a $5.00 charge. Drop cars off at the Valet Parking stand located in front of the UNC Information Technology building (440 West Franklin Street), near the West End Wine Bar.
