FREE Saturday Parking Downtown This Holiday Season! 
Parking is always FREE on Sundays in downtown Chapel Hill, but this holiday season parking will be FREE on Saturdays as well! The Town of Chapel Hill will be offering downtown patrons and visitors FREE parking on Saturdays in December at all municipal lots, the Wallace parking deck, and at on-street meters. At 5:00 PM on Saturdays, the Wallace Deck and Rosemary/Columbia Lot will begin charging at their normal rate.  Visit the Town's website for an udated map of the available municipal parking downtown -CLICK HERE.
 

Nightlight Holiday Craft Fair & Party

Come to the Nightlight Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, December 18 from 2PM to 6PM to find a special something for everyone on your list. Gingerbread House Decorating at Kidzu

On Saturday, December 18, 2-3pm or 4-5pm; kids will get to experience the fun of decorating a gingerbread house. Each participant will receive an undecorated gingerbread house with frosting, shaved coconut snowflakes, and candy decorations. $15 per house (2 children can share a house), only 10 houses per session.  For children 3-10 years of age.  Registration is required. Wachovia Tar Heel 10 Miler - Sign Up Now!

Now is the perfect time to start training for the 2011 Wachovia Tar Heel 10 Miler: North Carolina's Premier Running Experience.  On Saturday April 9, 2011, 4000 runners are expected to run in Endurance Magazine's landmark running event in Chapel Hill. Last year history was made when 2200 runners took to the streets of Chapel Hill and ran through downtown and historic neighborhoods ultimately finishing in UNC's Kenan Football Stadium.  The ten mile distance is a great way to challenge yourself if you're used to running 5k and 10k distances; or, if you're training for a late spring half- or full marathon! The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has been selected by Endurance Magazine as their primary charity partner.
