The NeverEnding Story (1984) chronicles a young boy's journey into his imagination where he escapes real-life bullies and learns to be brave and strong in order to save the magical land of Fantasia.
Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy a movie under summer stars. Grab food from a downtown restaurant and have a picnic dinner on Wallace Plaza, an urban park set high above Rosemary Street! The Varsity on Franklin will be supplying concessions. Kidzu Children's Museum will be leading kids in FREE arts & crafts activities before each the movie!The Wallace Plaza is accessible from E. Franklin St. behind the Post Office or through Amber Alley.

HOPE Community Dinner

Paul Green Theatre, Center for Dramatic Art PlayMakers Summer Youth Conservatory, in collaboration with The ArtsCenter of Carrboro, presents the musical whodunit by singer-composer Rupert Holmes, based on the novel by master storyteller Charles Dickens. Told in the lighthearted style of British music halls and pantomime, "Drood" is fun for the whole family - a play-within-a-play staged by a loony, flamboyant Victorian musical troupe. Giddy playfulness, song, dance, laughter and a murder mystery all rolled into one, with the audience choosing the hilarious finale in Broadway's favorite solve-it-yourself mystery. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $13 for PlayMakers subscribers and Friends of The ArtsCenter, $10 for children under 18.
