Free Trolley Service for 2nd Friday ArtWalk

6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Twenty-five local businesses will participate in the 2nd Friday ArtWalk this month, many of them with live music and other art related entertainment. The Visitors Bureau will be offering a free trolley service and will provide a guide on the bus to highlight local businesses and give participants a historic overview of the area. Beginning at the ArtsCenter on E. Main Street in Carrboro, the nostalgic, air-conditioned trolley will make a three-mile loop through Franklin Street to the Horace Williams House and back again.

·Begin at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro at 6pm;
·Travel to the Visitors Center and stop at 501 West Franklin Street
·Stop at the University Square parking lot  
·The Horace Williams House parking lot and loop back again to the ArtsCenter.

FRANK Opening Reception for COLORS
Opening reception: Friday, August 13th, 7-9pm.
COLORSShow runs from August 10 to September 5

In this uniquely curated show, visitors will see discrete sections of the gallery in which all pieces displayed will be of similar coloration. Multi-colored pieces will be placed according to its own histogram, a graph showing the percentages of various colors used in its palette. FRANK Salon talks will focus on the color spectrum, the impact of colors as they stand alone and as they interact and juxtapose with other colors, and how people perceive color. The exhibit will give visitors the chance to think of color in new ways, and maybe even to start to imagine color differently.
