Wesley Campus Ministry, on UNC’s Campus, will host its 46th annual Open Sing of Handel's Messiah on Saturday, December 3 at 7PM in the chapel located at 214 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill. Yes – that means the entire community is invited to come and sing! The holiday spirit of goodwill and community will be almost palpable.
Daniel Steinert, Director of Music at Chapel's Hill's Christ United Methodist Church will be the guest conductor. To date soloists Scott MacLeod, Karen Freedman, Leda Scearce and Wade Henderson will perform along with an orchestra and instrumentalists from the local community. The event is free and open to all members of the community.
Donations to support the event are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own score, as a limited number will be available. For more information call 919-942-2152.
