Live bluegrass music creates the perfect atmosphere for kicking back, relaxing and getting a jump start on the weekend. Lizh and The Big Band perform this Friday, June 24 beginning at 5PM. Enjoy a picnic menu with beer and wine.

Pajama Party at Ackland Art Museum 
The Ackland Art Museum will host a pajama party on Friday, June 24 from 6PM to 8PM, to celebrate the beginning of summer. Participants will have the opportunity to hear stories on topics such as art, summer, and other things found in the galleries. Catch the Buzz at Family Science Day
On Saturday, June 25 from 11AM to 3PM celebrate butterflies, birds, beetles, bees, and even bats; all native pollinators! Morehead Planetarium and Science Center hosts this Family Science Day filled with hands-on, family-friendly activities, programs, and exhibits. FREE. Visit Find us on Facebook
Outdoor Movie at Horace Williams House 
Celebrate the life of Chapel Hill's own movie stars - Kay Kyser and Georgia Carroll - on Saturday, June 25 at 8:30PM with an outdoor showing of Around the World a 1943 classic that features bandleader Kay Kyser as he takes his troupe of nutty musicians, goofball comics, and singers on a tour around the world to entertain the troops during World War II.
