Ackland-Kidzu Workshop 
On Thursday, January 19 from 4Pm to 5:30PM Kidzu and Ackland museums have partnered to offer Creating a Fantastical Story Through Art. Kids meet at the Ackland Art Museum to investigate imaginative fantasy-based art. At Kidzu, children use what they have learned to create fantastical artwork. $5 per child, ages 4-8 years. The Process Series 2012
The Process Series kicks off on January 20 & 21, 8PM at Gerrard Hall with Painting the Town: A Rock 'n' Roll Life and the Souls of Four Great American Cities by DjangoHaskins. The Process Series provides artists who are in the throes of creating new work a community to share it with. All of events are free and open to the public.  MLK, Jr. Day Rally & March
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Branch of the NAACP will hold a Martin Luther King Jr. Day rally on Monday, January 16 at 9AM on Peace & Justice Plaza in front of the Post Office/Courthouse on Franklin Street. The theme is "Environmental Racism"; keynote speaker is Rev. Robert Campbell of the Rogers Road community.
