On Friday, November 10 from 6PM to 9PM, experience local arts in community venues. Many of the venues will have live music, good food & drinks, and other art related entertainment. ArtWalk venues include Ackland Museum Store,FRANK Gallery, Beehive Hair Salon, This & That, Vespertine, Focal Point Arts Gallery, and more! Free and open to all! 

Bub O'Malley's: An Institution

RSVVP Day: Eat For a Good Cause!
The 24th annual RSVVP Day (Restaurants Sharing V/5 & V/5 Percent) will be Tuesday, November 13. Eat out or Take out, all day; breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, at a PARTICIPATING restaurant and 10% of your tab will be donated to the Inter-Faith Council to benefit their hunger-relief programs; the Community Kitchen and the Emergency Food Pantry. Ackland's Drawing in the Galleries
On Saturday, November 10 from 10AM to 12PM, Amanda Hughes, the Ackland's director of external affairs, leads participants in a creative exploration of a particular object in the Museum's collection. Bring paper and dry media (crayon, pencils, etc.). All levels are welcome. Free and open to the public. And Drawing for Tweens on Saturday, November 10 at 10:30AM - invites 10- to 13-year-olds to look at selected works in the Ackland's galleries and identify techniques that the artists used to make them. Gallery teachers demonstrate and teach participants technical skills, which tweens can then apply to their own artistic creations. Materials are provided.Free to members | $5 non-members. Farm Fundraiser at Vimala's
Refugee Agricultural Partnership Project is holding the first Farm Fundraiser on Sunday, November 11 at 4PM at Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe! Come listen to live traditional Karen folk music and dancing, drink hot hibiscus lemongrass tea and other libations, learn about Karen culture and Burma and enjoy traditional Karen appetizers with ingredients sourced from the Farm and enter a raffle to win a Lantern Restaurant six course dinner with wine pairings for two.Tickets are $15.  /

Mad Tea Party at West End Public
Join Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and others at a delightful afternoon tea party as the Chapel Hill High School drama department celebrates their upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland! On Sunday November 11 with two Tea Times at 1PM and 3PM at the West End Public. Enjoy pastries, miniature sandwiches, and other delectables. 40 Years of Art: Exhibit Reception
Celebrate 40 years of adaptive reuse at the Horace Williams House with a look back at The Preservation Society's art program. On Sunday, November 11 from 2PM to 4PM join the reception; refreshments will be served. This event is free and open the public.
