Training Invitation: "Be A Responsible Server" Program

 Training Invitation:"Be A Responsible Server"

The Chapel Hill Police Department along with North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division is inviting all to attend a "Be A Responsible Server" Program (BARS) for sellers and servers of alcoholic beverages.  The purpose of this training is to familiarize new and veteran employees of ABC outlets with alcohol laws and regulations.  This training will specifically deal with sales to underage, fraudulent identifications, sales to intoxicated persons and general ABC laws and regulations.  The training is free of charge and you do not have to register before the class.

As licensed ABC outlets in North Carolina, you are the first line of defense against underage drinking and irresponsible alcohol consumption.  It is important that you have the proper tools and knowledge to be effective.

Classes will be held on Thursday, April 19; Thursday, July 19; and Thursday, October 18 from 7PM to 9PM at the Post Office/Courthouse at 179 East Franklin Street.
