Tie Dye Workshop

Join Kidzu Children's Museum for a Patriotic Tie Dye Workshop on

Pools OPEN - Come On In!
The A. D. Clark Pool at the Hargraves Community Center, 216 N. Roberson St., is open for the 2012 summer season. The free outdoor swimming pool, operated by the Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Department, is available for lap swimming and open swim time now through Labor Day. The 25 meter pool offers a zero-depth entry pool, locker rooms, showers and family changing area. There is a wading pool for pre-school aged children and toddlers (swim diapers required). Friends of the Downtown Mtg
On Thursday, June 28 at 10AM, the Friends features TWO great speakers. Travis Vencel of Trinitas Ventures, will speak about the development of off-campus student housing to address pressures from student housing on nearby neighborhoods. He will also show Trinitas' proposal for development in Chapel Hill. And Aaron Nelson from the Chamber of Commerce will share plans for the 2012 Inter-City Visit and Leadership Conference trip to Bloomington, Indiana. Gatherings of the Friends of the Downtown take place on the second floor of the Franklin Hotel. Meetings are free and open to the public, with parking located behind the hotel.
