'Urinetown' at PlayMakers
A cast of 25 young student actors will perform the Tony Award-winning musical satire "Urinetown: The Musical" as the culmination of the PlayMakers Repertory Company Summer Youth Conservatory running July 19-22. In "Urinetown," 20 years of disastrous drought have led to draconian water restrictions. The A. D. Clark Pool at the Hargraves Community Center, 216 N. Roberson St., is open for the 2012 summer season. The free outdoor swimming pool, operated by the Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Department, is available for lap swimming and open swim time now through Labor Day. The 25 meter pool offers a zero-depth entry pool, locker rooms, showers and family changing area. There is a wading pool for pre-school aged children and toddlers (swim diapers required).
