The Cave 'Cooler' Benefit

Curiosity Lands on Mars
Join Morehead Planetarium on Sunday, August 5 from 1:30PM to 3:30PM to celebrate the landing of NASA's newest Mars Rover, Curiosity. Many of the constellations we see are named for characters in Greek mythology. At this Morehead Planetarium event hear tales about these characters and learn to recognize their constellations at August's "Star Families" program on Saturday, August 4. City of Frogs: Summer Show
The 13th annual giant puppet pageant - City of Frogs - is the summer event for all ages in Forest Theatre. Brought to us by Paperhand Puppet Intervention. The show includes masks, stilt walkers, shadow puppets, and live music. Running August 10 through September 9, every weekend with evening and matinee shows. $12, $8 kids - suggested donation. Pools OPEN - Come On In!
The A. D. Clark Pool at the Hargraves Community Center, 216 N. Roberson St., is open for the 2012 summer season. The free outdoor swimming pool, operated by the Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Department, is available for lap swimming and open swim time now through Labor Day. The 25 meter pool offers a zero-depth entry pool, locker rooms, showers and family changing area. There is a wading pool for pre-school aged children and toddlers (swim diapers required).
