Big Changes Coming To The Bookshop!

The Bookshop 2.jpg

The Bookshop, an independent used and rare bookstore located at 400 West Franklin Street, is making some significant changes next week! Starting with a store remodel, The Bookshop will temporarily close on Sunday, October 6 and re-open on Sunday, October 13.  The web site- - will be operational that week, though there will a delay in shipping books until after the remodel.

The front half of the store will get new capet, freshly painted walls, and a refurbished window display. The display area will be opened up, moving the cash register and buying station further into the store.

Also, the Bookshop is getting bright, new overhead and window lights - making it much easier for shoppers to find the books they want.  And remember those tall, enclosed alcoves of floor-to-ceiling books? The books will soon be displayed in bookcases in rows, making a huge difference in opening up the store!

And don't worry about Elmo & Red, the resident Bookshop cats. They will be trying out apartment-living with a staff member during the renovations. When they return to the shop their cat tree and bed will be back in the front window, waiting for them to take a sunny nap!

Before the shop closes for the remodel on Sunday - stop by now to stock up on some good reads! Join The Bookshop for a grand reopening celebration the weekend of October 19 & 20. Details to follow!
