Bike Skills Workshop

Held the first Saturday of every month: Saturday, October 5 from 11 am to 4 pm. This workshop is dedicated to working onReCYCLEry projects. Voluneers will learn skills that could include fixing bikes for giveaways to children, stripping bikes, organizing the shop, or projects aimed at exercising the artistic vision of recycling bikes. No personal projects will be worked on during these Saturday hours.  Come get service learning hours or just volunteer your time. No experience necessary.  Children welcomed! www.recyclery.org

Beauty for a Cure Event at Aveda
The Aveda Institute Chapel Hill hosts Beauty for a Cure on Wednesday, October 9 at the salon. Students will provide complimentary haircuts, makeup applications, express facials, polish changes and neck and shoulder massages to support breast cancer awareness and research. A $10 donation is requested for each service during the event.
