It's Time to Exhale!
140 West Plaza It's time to Exhale...the wait is over. Join the entire community on Friday, April 26 from 7PM-9PM, as the Town of Chapel Hill, with developer Ram Realty Services, celebrates the Grand Opening of the 140 West Franklin Plaza and dedication of Exhale, the town's most recent public art installation, by internationally renowned landscape architect Mikyoung Kim.   
UNC Priceless Gem Tour
On Friday, April 26 at 3PM celebrate the last day of classes and explore the spring in Coker
Arboretum with Grant Parkin, natural science educator at the NC Botanical Garden. The tour is free.  
Slow Art Day at Ackland
Slow down! We look too fast... The premise of Slow Art Day is simple: when we slow down to look at art, we really see it. Come to the Ackland Art Museum on Saturday, April 27 from 11AM to 2PM for a "slow look" at pre-selected works of art. After viewing the works for 10 minutes each, the group will stroll over to Spanky's Restaurant and enjoy conversations about the experience over lunch. Museum admission is free (as always). Pop-Up Art Sale at ZOG's 
On Saturday, April 27 you can create art and purchase art for a good cause all at Zog's Pool Hall! Paint a ceiling tile at Zog's and be a part of the permanent decor! You get your own ceiling tile and paints to create whatever you want. Stay and purchase a piece of unique, local art that is on display - proceeds go to The ArtsCenter in Carrboro. Funds will go to The ArtsCenter to pay for camp and ArtSchool scholarships, and equipment for their digital lab.

Last Day of Classes Pool Party

Yes - that would mean there is a pool in downtown Chapel Hill! On Friday, April 26 from 3PM until 2AM The Thrill will have a pool on their front patio with DJs EverVida and Jahbeat spinning. Performances by 7LOD, TEital, and Chia Boy to start the day off as well with DJ Tuni closing the night out. The Thrill has all food half off to celebrate the end of the spring semester!

On Sunday, April 28 from 4PM to 8PM - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is holding a benefit for IFC Community House. Rain or Shine - bus, bike, walk, or drive to the church at 300 E. Rosemary Street for food from Chez Moi Bakery, Sarges Chef, Parlez-Vous Crepes, Olde North State BBQ, and Sympathy
for the Deli. 

Bicycle Chain Group Trail Ride

 Whether this is your first Mountain Bike ride, or you want to increase your single track skills, come join the Chapel Hill Bicycle Chain group ride every Sunday at 5PM. Meet at the store, at 210 W. Franklin Street, do a quick tire check and then ride the Carolina North Forest trails for about an hour and a half. This will be a no drop ride, but the terrain does require a shop quality mountain bike. If you have any questions, shoot call the store at (919) 929-0213.

Korchipi Korean Chicken & Pizza features bulgogi (beef or spicy chicken), salads, pizza, Gangnam-style chicken served either sweet and mild or hot and spicy; and So-Ga wings that are made with a soy and garlic sauce. Specialties include Korchipi Korean Boxes! After dinner stay for Karaoke in the the special events room available to rent! TRU Deli + Wine, located at 114 Henderson Street, is a garden oasis downtown with a covered, comfortable patio it's calling you on these gorgeous spring afternoons! TRU Deli + Wine roasts its own turkey, roast beef and bacon, and offers a build-your-own-sandwich menu. Deli by day, wine bar by night - the wine bar is open Thursday through Saturday and the restaurant, open Monday-Sunday, can be reserved for private events.  

UNIVERSES at PlayMakers

Acclaimed international musical/spoken word ensembles UNIVERSES returns to PlayMakers Repertory Company to take on The Rite of Spring.Using the classic work as a springboard to investigate rites of passage and lead an exploration of Stravinsky's groundbreaking composition.The performance will take place 7:30pm April 24-28 at the Kenan Theater. There will be one matinee at 2pm April 28. Each production will be followed by a free and open conversation with the artists.
Photographic Exhibit at FRANK
On Saturday, April 27 from 6PM to 8PM FRANK's Community Outreach Gallery will host an opening for an exhibition with teens attending the Elon University, Elon Academy's college access program. The photography inquiry project taught by FRANK artist, educator, and photographer Barbara Tyroler, explores identity, family, art, and culture through photography and writing. Free and open to all.  
New Dishes at Noodles 
Noodles Spring Dishes The first signs of spring are budding at Noodles & Company, where the world's most popular, classic noodle and pasta dishes come together under one roof to create Your World Kitchen. Wild & Scenic Film Festival at Varsity

TODAY- Thursday, April 25 at 6PM Spoke'n Revolutions hosts an evening of thought provoking environmental shorts with 15 films shown at the Varsity Theatre. This is a benefit for Triangle Bike Works, a nonprofit with programs centered on youth leadership development and getting youth outdoors. Tickets can be purchased online:  

Fridays on the Front Porch - The Carolina Inn   Fridays on the Front Porch at The Carolina Inn is back on April 26 at 5PM. The Inn offers live music, a picnic menu with beer, wine and drink specials, and plenty of comfortable seating under the shady trees on the Inn's front lawn. No cover charge or reservations for the event.

Rock & Roll, and Raffles
On Friday, April 26 from 8PM to 11PM, The Johnson Intern Program will host a special event to raise money for Genesis Home, a nonprofit organization in Durham serving the needs of homeless families. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go toward sending the children of Genesis Home to summer camp! This event will be held at University Baptist Church and is open to the public. The suggested donation for entry is $10. A local favorite, Red's Rhythm, will be providing their musical talents by performing classic rock hits, and maybe even a request or two! Don't miss out on this night of community fun for a fantastic cause. 
International Flavor at Talulla's
Talulla's hosts a global dance party every 4th Saturday of the month - called International Flavor. Join them this Saturday, April 27 from 4:30PM until 2AM. Come out with friends early for a traditional Turkish dinner and dancing along with a Belly Dancer performance from AZUL. Jackson Center - May Day 
The Marian Cheek Jackson Center for Saving and Making History is celebrating on Saturday, April 27, 11:00AM until 3PM at St. Joseph CME, 510 West Rosemary Street. The annual May Day Celebration is here! Franklin Street Yoga is Moving!
The Yoga Center is heading just a few blocks up to a new location: 431 W. Franklin St., Suite 410 at the Courtyard. The first day of classes will be Sunday, April 28 at the new location; and the last day of classes at the current studio will be Saturday, April 27.  The Courtyard, located at the corner of West Franklin Street and Roberson Street, is undergoing a transformation adding residential apartments, new restaurants like Kipos Greek Taverna, and offices. The mainstay of The Courtyard has been Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe. Franklin Street Yoga Center will be a welcome and great addition to The Courtyard! We are glad that Franklin Street Yoga Center is staying in downtown Chapel Hill! For more information visit     
Kidzu & Ackland Play 'I SPY'
On Sunday, April 28 from 2PM to 5PM The Ackland Art Museum has invited Kidzu kids to come over and play "I spy" in the gallery for Family Day. Kids will get to play "I spy," make an artwork inspired by a detail spied, and then join the staff of the Ackland for Story Time at 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Come back to Kidzu to see if you can spy some of the things in the museum. Make binoculars in the Art Room, to look closely and find all of the items in the scavenger hunt. Admission and all activities at both museums are free!

Calling Kid Fashion Designers!
On Saturday, April 27 kids can show their creativity in the Kidzu Art Room as they design fun fashion from recycled materials to celebrate FRANK Art Gallery's new show Rubbish 2 Runway, which features dresses fashioned entirely from recycled materials. Some of the work created at Kidzu will become part of the FRANK exhibit. Rubbish 2 Runway will be shown at FRANK Art Gallery from May 7 to July 7. Projects are free with admission. All ages welcome.  
Final Rite 100 Performance!
Carolina Performing Arts' final performance of The Rite of Spring at 100 features a re-mount of Martha Graham's Rite of Spring. Not seen by audiences in 20 years, Graham's Rite will return to the stage at Memorial Hall on April 26 and 27, with original costumes. Each night will also include the world premiere of a Carolina Performing Arts commission by Nacho Duato and a performance by guest artist Wendy Whelan, principal dancer for the New York City Ballet.
