Downtown Chapel Hill's most anticipated summer entertainment series is back for its sixth season with an all new line-up of original musical acts and classic family movies. Starting Thursday, June 27, grab your chair and head downtown every THURSDAY where cool summer nights come alive in downtown Chapel Hill with the LOCALLY GROWN Music and Movie Series!
LOCALLY GROWN is a FREE event series, featuring locally acclaimed musicians as well as entertaining, block buster movies every Thursday evening on the Wallace Plaza, atop the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. LOCALLY GROWN concert nights kick off with a beer garden at 7PM and a selection of food vendors from some of Franklin Street's favorite restaurants. Live music starts at 8PM, so make plans to arrive early and claim your front row seat. Concert nights feature bike-in parking with Back Alley Bikes providing free on-site bike tune-ups.
LOCALLY GROWN movie nights provide entertainment for the whole family with popcorn, crafts, games, trivia & costume contests before the show! The FREE movies start at sundown (approx. 9PM) so bring a chair or blanket, enjoy specials from a participating Dinner & a Movie restaurant, and have a picnic dinner under the stars. Discount parking tokens for movie goers provided by Town of Chapel Hill's Parking Services. This year movie nights start with film shorts created by local award-winning filmmaker Nic Beery; founder of the Carrboro Film Festival.

LOCALLY GROWN's mission is to promote the downtown community by bringing people to shop and eat at local businesses while enjoying local entertainment and activities on summer evenings in Downtown Chapel Hill.
