Free Showing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

LOCALLY GROWN Free Movie this Thursday in Downtown Chapel Hill!

Starting at 8PM join us for kids games and activities on Wallace Plaza. Before the show, Turtle-inspired Neill's Taekwondo will perform an exciting pre-show demonstration of the Ninja skills seen in the movie. Later, some lucky members of the audience will have the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to fight Shredder for the final slice of pizza.

Free popcorn for all while supplies last; and Ben & Jerry's will be selling delicious ice cream to keep you cool! Movie nights start with film shorts created by local award-winning filmmaker Nic Beery; of  Beery Media and founder of the Carrboro Film Festival.


The movies start at sundown-ish (approx. 9PM) so bring a chair or blanket, get dinner from a downtown restaurant and have a picnic dinner under the stars. Discount parking tokens for movie goers provided by Town of Chapel Hill's Parking Services. 


The plaza is on top of the Wallace Parking Deck, car entrance off of Rosemary Street. For all downtown parking options visit But why not bike-in to the movie? There's plenty of bike parking space...and it's free! 

MOVIE NEXT WEEK: On Thursday, August 15 join us for a showing of Finding Nemo (G/2003)! Pre-movie will be a family friendly Finding Nemo scavenger hunt as well as crafts for the smaller children. Gather clues to find prizes.. and as always, the popcorn is free!
