Pink Heals Makes a Stop in Downtown
The Pink Heals Tour is coming to Chapel Hill on Friday, September 20 and parading pink fire trucks, police cars, and other vehicles down Franklin Street starting at 12:30. The entire parade will stop at the 140 West Plaza until to 2:30 before they head to University Mall. http://www.pinkfiretrucks.org/
The entire community is invited to come meet the men and women of the Pink Heals Tour; and cancer survivors are invited to sign the pink fire truck.
The Pink Heals Tour is comprised of men and women firefighters and other first responders who drive pink vehicles across America bringing the “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” and Pink Heals Movement to communities of all sizes! They will be visiting the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center and University Mall, raising money to help those affected by cancer.
In between those stops the tour (between 5-8 vehicles) will wind its way down Franklin Street and Rosemary Street and stop at the 140 West Plaza for approximately 1 hour. For more information contact Chapel Hill Fire Chief Dan Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-968-2781.
Special thank you to LIME Mexican Grill for donating the lunches to feed the firefighters that are on tour with Pink Heals!
