Tar Heel Service Day

Get ready to put on some Carolina blue, roll up your sleeves and #ServeCarolina on Oct. 12, 2014. In celebration of University Day, Tar Heels around the world will unite for a global day of service. Last year, nearly 1,400 Carolina alumni and friends served a grand total of 8,161 hours in honor of University Day on Oct. 12, 2013.

Downtown Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, October 11, 1pm

 

The scavenger hunt is open to all in the community - including UNC students, families, adults, and anyone that wants to form a team of between 2 to 5 players. Teams must solve riddles to determine their next stop at various landmarks and icons throughout downtown and campus-taking photos of themselves at each destination and using a mobile app. As they test their knowledge of Chapel Hill, they compete for prizes.

This exhibit will include the work of FRANK member photographers Alan Dehmer, Barbara Tyroler, Bill McAllister, John Rosenthal and Peter Filene as well as FRANK consigning artists Sam Wang, Jacquelyn Tait Leebrick, Wojtek Wojdynski, Caroline Vaughan, David Spear, Gregg Kemp, and Bryce Lankard.
