Countdown to Kickoff!
The Franklin Hotel is hosting the Countdown to Kickoff Radio Show with Dave & Deems May on Saturday, November 15th.  Roberts, the hotel's first floor bar & lounge, will be open 2 hours prior to kick-off to host the show at 10:30am for the 12:30 kickoff.  Come by and enjoy the outdoor patio and listen to the show live to start the big game day right.  Go Heels! 
WXYC 2000's Dance 
Saturday November 15 at 9:30 pm: WXYC is hosting it's semi-annual 2000's dance at Chapel Hill Underground. Pop, lock, and drop the night away to all your favorite 2000's jams, from Ciara to
Switchfoot. Tickets are $5.
Teen Science Night
Friday, November 14 at 5:30 pm: Morehead Planetarium hosts a special event for teens; a screening of the movie Armageddon in the GSK Fulldome Theater, hosted by NASA Solar System Ambassador Tony Rice. The movie, starring Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler and Owen Wilson, is so famous for its "bad science" that it is used in management training at NASA. Pizza will be served on the front porch of the Morehead Building at 5:30 p.m. The movie is PG-13, and this program is only for teen-agers ages 13 and older. 
Family Day at Baxter Arcade
Sunday, November 16 from 12 pm to 6 pm: The 40+ arcade games at Baxter Arcade are no longer just for the adults. Join them for Family Day so all the kids can have some fun too! All kids must be accompanied by an adult. More information at Baxter Arcade Facebook Page.

Free Marketing Workshop
Friday, November 14 from 11 am to 12:30 pm: Rock your holidays with a great promotion! Jim Jubelirer is offering this free workshop to help you reach out to your customers, bring in new clients, and boost repeat and referral business. Mantra and Mala Workshop 
Saturday, November 15 at 12:30 pm: Franklin Street Yoga Center hosts this class. A mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations. During this mala making workshop, you'll have the opportunity to design and make your own mala from a variety of beads. You will also learn practices for working with the mala and sacred chants(mantra). Drop in Rate or Class Pass. $15 per mala bracelet. 
Live Music at R&R Grill
Wednesday, November 19 from 6 pm to 9 pm: Come to R&R Grill and dance! Enjoy great, live beach and motown music with a $5 cover. This week features The Nomads -- Chapel Hill's most beloved band!  
Breakfast at Al's Burger Shack
Breakfast at the Shack begins on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 am; serving breakfast Monday- Saturday until 11:00 am. Breakfast at the Shack will include a variety of homemade breakfast
sandwiches, all reflecting the Shack ethos of real local and real good. The Shack will also offer a proprietary Shack coffee blend from Jessee's in Carrboro, fruit juices, and Maple View Farms
Lively Jazz on the 140 West Plaza
Closing out the fall series on Friday, November 14 from 6 pm to 9 pm; enjoy the sophisticated Eric Hirsh Jazz Quartet. Hirsh performs regularly as a member of jazz/hip hop quartet The Beast
and as director of thirteen-piece salsa ensemble Orquesta GarDel. The Quartet will be performing instrumental jazz throughout the evening. On view will be some of the watercolors created at the
October Art Walk event too! 
Relay For Life of UNC's Gala 
Thursday, November 13 from 6 pm to 9 pm: This semi-formal occasion at The Franklin Hotel, provides guests with a great night of activities including a photo booth, silent auction, appetizers, a bar, live music, and casino tables - with all proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society. The gala will feature live entertainment by the Bucket Brothers, a local jazz band. UNC Women's Basketball Coach and cancer survivor, Sylvia Hatchell, will be the keynote speaker. Music in the Galleries at Ackland 
Sunday, November 16 at 2 pm: Join the Ackland Museum this Sunday for an encore performance by the lively Durham Ukulele Orchestra. This talented group performs ukulele covers of songs by your favorite artists - from Talking Heads to Bruce Springsteen to the Black Eyed Peas! Free and open to the public.

West End Run Club Welcomes All
DSI Comedy and Franklin Street Yoga Center have teamed up to create the West End Run Club, offering an opportunity to meet local runners and take a leisurely run at a more conversational pace for free. Check-in for 5 runs, get 5 classes at Franklin St. Yoga FREE! Regular runs take place along Franklin St, UNC Campus and Cameron Ave. Weekly runs are scheduled for Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Beginners are welcome. /
