Al's Burger Shack to Start Serving Breakfast

The new classic on West Franklin Street, Al's Burger Shack will begin serving breakfast this Monday, November 17!  Feel free to start drooling...

From their press release:

Al’s Burger Shack, Chapel Hill’s classic burger stand, today announced that it will begin serving “Shackfast,” the Shack’s version of breakfast, beginning Monday, November 17, 2014. Breakfast hours will be 7:00 am – 11 am, Monday to Saturday.

Breakfast at the Shack will include a variety of homemade breakfast sandwiches, all reflecting the Shack ethos of real local and real good. The Shack will also offer a proprietary Shack coffee blend from Jessee’s in Carrboro, fruit juices, and Maple View Farms milk.

As always, family, friends and acquaintances of proprietor Al Bowers inspired the Shackfast special names. The menu will feature egg sandwiches that may be enhanced with freshly-fried bacon, the Shack’s custom-blended sausage, plus housemade salsa verde. Another sandwich will feature the New Jersey specialty Taylor ham with egg and Al’s Benjyn sauce. The Shack kitchen will also fire up a spicy chicken sandwich with egg, and a breakfast burger topped with a fried egg.

“After many morning knocks on the door from regular customers seeking a Shack burger on their way to work or class, we decided to open for breakfast,” said Al Bowers, owner, Al’s Burger Shack. “Shackfast gives our guests a way to experience the same fresh, creative twists we’ve made to the classic burger applied to breakfast. We’re also looking forward to meeting more of our neighbors who may not be able to drop in for lunch or dinner.”
