Art-Making for All 
Saturday, December 13: On the second Saturday of every month, Ackland Art Museum hosts hands-on art-making classes all day long! Using the Museum's collection as inspiration, people of all ages make art in the galleries and in adjacent art studios. Wednesday, December 17 at 7:30 pm: Explore the night sky under the planetarium dome with an expert guide. Learn how to identify the planets, bright stars and constellations that are easiest to find during the current season. Starry Nights programs are designed for adults and teens.

Downtown Holiday Parade


The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade, presented by The Jaycees, will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 10 am to 12 pm. The parade starts at the Morehead Planetarium and runs the entire length of Franklin Street to Carrboro Town Hall. Stake out your curbside spot and enjoy a great community tradition! Miracle on Franklin Street: During the parade, bring an unwrapped toy to the 140 West Plaza to help support Orange County's Toys for Tots campaign. Annual Christmas Love Feast
Sunday, December 14 at 7 pm: University United Methodist Church invites you to its 41st annual Christmas Love Feast in the Moravian tradition. The UUMC Youth Choir, Covenant Handbells and Love Feast Band will lead the music for this beautiful celebration of the season featuring traditional
