Industry Restaurant Review: By Guest Blogger Tristan

There are lots of places to go downtown after working a later shift at work, but there is one that stands out. Industry (formerly The Standard) combines both food and drink to keep you going through the night. Nestled off W. Rosemary St. this establishment has a great décor and welcoming feel that is just right for any night in Chapel Hill. During the weekends you may find live music and DJ’s catering to the crowd, but the weekdays have plenty to offer as well. Watch an old movie or check out the game outside on the patio on the giant HD projection screen.

Industry is family and kid-friendly too! A little bit of everything is served to cater to all, and it is fresh and more restraint quality rather than average bar food. Fresh pizzas using local premium ingredients showcase the menu, with a playful and satisfying theme. One of the best burgers in the Triangle can also be found here, along with other hand crafted sandwiches. On the lighter side, try the Mahi Tacos, with jicama slaw and gueso fresco; or  the Basil and Lime sandwich. Try the grilled tomato Caprese or their original house salad that is anything but boring.

With all the great food around, the bar fully supports the crowd with some of the best local beers always on tap, as well as signature cocktails and daily drink specials. Try the Mission Fig or Candied Bacon Martini, to name a few specialties. If you’re feeling the need for a little retail therapy late night, then they have it at Industry as well. The restaurant covers their walls with art from local artists, and most of the work is usually for sale.

Specials include ½ off wine on Wednesdays and book your table now for Valentine’s Day by February 10 and get a bottle of champagne for $10.00!  Call 919-918-3932 or email industrychapelhill@gmail.com. Visit www.industrychapelhill.com
