Be a Trashion-ista!
Thursday, September 25, 4:15-5:30 pm: Join FRANK Gallery and Kidzu Children's Museum and  Be a Trashion-ista! Kids will get inspired by recycled materials during this hands-on program. With the help of artists and designers from the FRANK, kids  will design and create Rubbish 2 Runaway outfits. In addition, participants will walk their creations down the FRANK Art Gallery runway for a fashion show! Call 919-933-1455 to reserve a spot. Cost is $5 per child, ages 4-10. This program will take place at FRANK Art Gallery.
 
Music on the Porch
Thursday, September 25 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm: The Center for the Study of the American South invites all to listen to live music on their front porch by the UNC Student Jazz Combo. Bring a chair and a picnic dinner! Free and open to the public. The Love House & Hutchins Forum is located at 410 East Franklin Street. http://www.south.unc.edu 
Linda's Trivia & Open Mic
Opened in 1976, Linda's serves great American bar and grill food, along with a fantastic selection of wine, beer, and liquor. Stop by the Downbar for trivia on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 pm to 10:30 pm; and Thursdays for open mic from 8 pm to 11 pm. Improv Slam at DSI
Saturday, September 27, 3 pm & 7 pm: A freestyle comedy battle that's fun for all ages! Two crews of improvisers fight for your laughs in this high energy, interactive show that'll have kids and parents laughing all night long. The 3 pm matinee offers kids under 3 for FREE! TerraVITA Small Plate Crawl
Thursday, September 25 - Saturday, September 27: Experience the second annual TerraVITA Small Plate Crawl in Chapel Hill & Carrboro and enjoy a 100% locally sourced small plate or cocktail at one of the participating restaurants. This is not a ticketed event; simply stop in or make reservations. Prices vary at each venue; most range from $8-$14.

Tap Performance at Memorial Hall
Thursday, September 25 & Friday, September 26: Chapel Hill native Michelle Dorrance's company features some of today's best tap artists, including The Blues Project co-choreographers Derick K. Grant and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards. Tap dance, America's most long-standing indigenous jazz vernacular, is here to receive its due.
