Old Time Jam Session
Wednesday, January 21 at 7 pm: Every first and third Wednesday of the month Nightlight Club & Bar hosts an Old Time Jam Session. Bring your instruments and play or just stay and enjoy the music! Free for members, $2 membership.

MLK, Jr Day Downtown Rally & March
Monday, January 19 at 9 am: The Chapel Hill-Carrboro and UNC-CH chapters of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will sponsor its annual Martin L. King Jr. Day Rally, March and Worship Service. Meet for the rally at Peace & Justice Plaza (179 East Franklin Street) and then join a march down Franklin Street. The march will end at First Baptist Church. At 11:00, the church service at Historic First Baptist Church (106 North Roberson Street) will commence. There will also be choir performances and a brief ceremony honoring those who have served in the military. Free and open to all. For more information - click here. FRANK Hosts Plein Air Workshops
Join FRANK Gallery for a series of plein air workshops where you will travel to four locations and practice different drawing techniques with four different artists. You will receive your own blank journal in which to work during each workshop and to continue to practice your skills in between sessions. No previous experience necessary; teens and adults are welcome.
