Meet-A-Scientist at Morehead 
Saturday, February 21 at 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm: Come to the Gross Labs exhibition space at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center to hear scientist Sam Anderson talk about light and making new components for polymer solar cells. He will demonstrate different kinds of light (radio, microwave, IR, visible, UV) and how we use and experience them everyday. The 38th Annual Jazz Festival
February 18-21: In addition to appearances by students and faculty from the UNC Jazz Studies program, this year's festival features

Carolina Skies Star Show
Sunday, February 22 at 3:30 pm: "Carolina Skies" takes Morehead visitors on a guided tour of the nighttime sky as it appears on that very night above North Carolina. Visitors learn how to identify celestial objects visible to the naked eye and how to find the cardinal directions using celestial signposts. They learn about the legends and myths created by ancient cultures to explain the astronomical phenomena observed by those cultures. www.moreheadplanetarium.org
