Shakespeare is Coming to Franklin Street!
The Bare Theatre is bringing the comedy Measure for Measure to the historic Varsity Theatre. Measure for Measure deals with very contemporary themes of sex and desire, and raises questions about the separation of church and state - taboo during the Renaissance. Performances are March 19-21, 26-28, and April 2-4. All performances begin at 7:30 PM.For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.baretheatre.org. 
 
Children's Bikram Yoga 
Sunday, March 15 from 1:30 pm to 3 pm: Bikram Yoga Chapel Hill is offering classes for kids featuring children-friendly postures led by a trained instructor. $10 per child. Ages 4 to 7 at 1:30 pm and ages 8 to 13 at 2 pm. Bikram Yoga is located at 601 West Rosemary Street, in Greenbridge.
 
Spring Music at R&R Grill
Every Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm: R&R Grill opens up it's Spring Music Series with local favorites Nomads Band on Wednesday, March 18th. Teen Science Cafe
Friday, March 13 at 5:30 pm: Sports medicine is a rapidly growing field of healthcare -- and it's a great topic for Morehead Planetarium's next Teen Science Cafe with guest speaker Dr. Mario Ciocca, UNC's director of sports medicine and head primary care physician for football, baseball and men's soccer. Ages 13-18. Free.

Street Scene's 30th Anniversary
Saturday, March 14 from 4 pm to 7 pm: For 30 years Street Scene Teen Center has welcomed thousands of teens into an environment where they can be themselves; a place where they are accepted, respected and encouraged, all on Franklin Street. Join the community in honoring this accomplishment with an Open House & Party - all are invited! There will be displays of photos & artwork, performances by teens, and a preview of The 30-30-30 Teen Center project - 30 years, 30 stories, 30 days of showings. Street Scene is located at 179 East Franklin Street, under the Post Office/Courthouse. 
 
2nd Friday ArtWalk This Week!

Saturday, March 14 at 3:30 pm: Morehead Planetarium hosts Star Families: Life and Death of Stars. Experience billions of years in the life of a star in just one night. From objects you can see with the unaided eye to dramatic Hubble Space Telescope imagery, you can see the stellar evolution at work ... if you know where to look.
 

 
Studio Saturdays at Ackland 
Saturday, March 14, 10:30 am to 5 pm: Studio Saturdays offer a variety of hands-on classes and activities for all ages at Ackland Art Museum. Make art inspired by works in the Ackland's collections! Studio Saturday Classes include Drawing for Tweens, Drawing in the Galleries, and Art Adventures for kids. Some fees may apply. www.ackland.org
