B.A.R.S (Be a Responsible Server)

The Chapel Hill Police Department along with North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division invites all sellers and servers of alcohol to attend B.A.R.S.- Be A Responsible Server Training on Monday, April 20 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Post Office/Courthouse, 179 East Franklin Street. 


The purpose of this training is to familiarize new and veteran employees of ABC outlets with alcohol laws and regulations.  This training will specifically deal with sales to underage, fraudulent identifications, sales to intoxicated persons and general ABC laws and regulations.  


The training will also include RAISE THE BAR; a bystander intervention training specifically for bar staff, giving them the tools to recognize and intervene when they see warning signs of drug facilitated sexual assault. For more information on Raise the Bar, visit:
