Mother's Day and UNC Commencement are on Sunday, May 10; just 2 days before the 2nd Friday ArtWalk this week. It's the perfect time to go shopping for Moms and Grads!

The 2nd Friday ArtWalk features galleries, retail shops, studios, and venues throughout Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Experience the creative arts scene in our community, explore venues, and socialize with other art lovers! Venues offer live music, food, activities, and more. Buy local art in all mediums; handmade jewelry, scarves, paper goods, ceramics, fine art, and more.

MFA Student Exhibit

The work of eleven artists completing their Master of Fine Arts degrees at UNC is on display at the Ackland Art Museum through June 7, 2015. The group show, entitled The Land of No Things: Selected Works by the MFA Class of 2015, is curated by arts writer and independent curator Chris Vitiello.  The Land of No Things is made possible by the Seymour and Carol Levin Foundation and proceeds from Ackland ARTINI! 2015. www.ackland.org
