Summer evenings are great for ArtWalking and ArtShopping! Enjoy dinner out at a favorite restaurant while your at it. The 2nd Friday ArtWalk features galleries, retail shops, studios, and venues throughout Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Experience the creative arts scene in our community and socialize with other art lovers! Venues offer live music, food, activities, and more. Buy local art in all mediums; handmade jewelry, scarves, paper goods, ceramics, fine art, and more.

The Bazaar is an arts and crafts market that will take place on the Carrboro Town Commons from 1 pm to 6 pm on 3rd Sundays Sept, Oct & Nov, 2015. Now looking for vendors! There is a $50 fee (per month/market) for a 9x11 covered space, and a $30 fee (per month/market) for a 10x10 uncovered space (will need to provide own canopy tent for sun/rain). Call for Local Artists 

The Chapel Hill Public Library, in partnership with the Office of Public & Cultural Arts, is celebrating intellectual freedom and Banned Books Week in an interesting, fun, and unique way. They are asking local artists from Orange, Durham, Wake, Chatham and Alamance counties to create small scale (5" wide x 7" tall) works of art inspired by a banned/challenged book or author. Movies Under the Stars

The Town of Chapel Hill and Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership host the free Movies Under the Stars summer series held outdoors on top of the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary Street, where you can enjoy the night sky!
Every 3rd & 4th Thursday in July and August. The movies start at approximately 8:30 pm; or as soon as it gets dark enough to see the screen. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Movie-goers of all ages will enjoy free popcorn and fun outdoor activities before the movie. For more information visit www.downtownchapelhill.com/movies
