Tar Heel Downtown

Go Heels! Tar Heel Downtown brings the Carolina game day spirit to Franklin Street on Friday, Sept 11 from 6 pm to 9 pm on the Plaza at 140 West Franklin Street. Join us for a pep rally! Activites include live music from Transit Vocal Band, performances by UNC Marching Tar Heels and Cheerleaders, face painting, ticket give-aways, balloon artists, a Carolina photobooth, and more! Cheer on the Tar Heels before their first home game of the season. Free.

Festifall Arts Festival

Join thousands in downtown Chapel Hill for the 43rd annual Festifall Arts Festival on West Franklin Street on Sunday, October 4 from noon to 6 pm! Enjoy live music, comedy, and dancing on the entertainment stages. A vibrant market of handmade artworks will include sculpture, wood-crafts, musical instruments, pottery, basketry, printmaking, jewelry, glass art, fabric art, photography, and more!
Downtown Pop Up Farmers' Market

Only 3 weeks left to shop the farmers' market on the 140 West Plaza (ends Thurs, Sept 10)! Join us this Thursday, August 27 from 12 pm to 2pm. Get FREE parking vouchers when you park in the 140 West Parking Deck. Don't have cash? Use your debit card and get Market Tokens to shop. Now featuring live music while you shop, and arts & crafts vendors too. In addition to fresh produce, you'll also find cut flowers, baked goods, breads, cheeses, chocolate, tea and coffee, all produced within 60 miles of Chapel Hill.

Under the Stars of the summer! We'll be showing Star Trek: Into Darkness on top of the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary Street. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Live & Local Series on the Plaza

The series kicks-off this Friday, August 28 with Cirque du Plaza from 6 pm to 9 pm; with a performance by Puppeteer Pipkins, Down to Earth Aerials, Hula Hooping, Face Painting, and Balloon Twisting. Live & Local will be every Friday until - November 6 from 6 pm to 9 pm. The Live & Local series showcases local musicians, hands-on-art demonstrations for all ages, performing arts, dance, and more! www.140westfranklinplaza.com
