Cantari Performance

VOICES, the Chapel Hill Chorus, is pleased to announce the first concert of its 36th Season. Cantari, the Voices Ensemble, will be performing the program "1685 was a very good year! Bach and Handel". The singers will be joined by strings, oboes, recorders and continuo players at University United Methodist Church.

Steep Canyon Rangers

The Steep Canyon Rangers are joined, in Memorial Hall, on this program by a group of UNC student bluegrass musicians in celebration of the launch of the UNC Music Department’s Bluegrass Initiative.

Designed for 6- to 9-year-olds, Art Adventures sessions provide kids with a guided view of art in the Ackland’s galleries, followed by the opportunity to create take-home treasures in an adjacent art studio using newly-learned art-making techniques. Materials are provided. Space is limited, reserve your spot. 

Storytelling Under the Stars in the Planetarium

Sunday, Nov 13 | 4:30 pm

Featuring Professor Brian Sturm and his storytelling class at UNC’s School of Information and Library Science. Each storyteller will tell a “star story” that will focus on the stars, the constellations or the Milky Way. The storytelling will take place against the backdrop of the “sky” of Morehead’s GlaxoSmithKline Fulldome Theater, and will finish with a "fly-through of the universe". Free and open to all.
