The Carolina Inn hosts this popular end-of-the-work week celebration with live music,food trucks, and plenty of comfortable seating under the shady oaks and magnolias on the Inn's front lawn. There's no cover charge or reservations needed for the event.

Skywatching at Morehead Sundial

Solar observing on the sundial in front of Morehead Planetarium, with special guest Mercury! Weather permitting, so check the website for updates. Skywatching sessions are very informal and family-friendly.

Come to the 140 West Plaza for a live performance of the East Chapel Hill School
Ukulele Orchestra. Ride your bike because there will be prizes and games before the big bike parade down Franklin Street. Safe for all ages and bike-abilities. Costumes and decorated bikes encouraged. Free and open to all. 

Congrats Class of 2016

Downtown Chapel Hill welcomes graduates and their families as they celebrate under Carolina blue skies of course. UNC's commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 8 at 9:00 am at Kenan Stadium. No tickets are needed and the public is welcome to attend. Tar Heel Express will be running free shuttles.
