4th of July in Kenan Stadium:
The gates open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.! The fireworks are only visible from inside the stadium, so arrive early for the best seats!
There will be many fun 4th of July activities such as balloon animals, face painting, inflatables and Midway Games!
DSI Comedy will host a Watermelon eating contest at 7 p.m. with interactive improv for the audience. Winners will receive prizes!
Soul Psychedelique Orchestra will perform on the main stage! Their music spans styles from the 1940’s Big Band sounds to Beach Music, R&B, Rock, Reggae, Latin and the best of today’s music.

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration:
Preservation Chapel Hill is bringing back An Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration from 1 – 3 p.m. on the lawn of the Horace Williams House, 610 East Rosemary Street.
The celebration includes free ice cream, flags, lemonade and patriotic music performed by The Village Band from 1:30 – 2:15 p.m.
Remember to bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends!

Events Just outside of Town:
Carrboro’s July 4th Celebration:
This celebration begins at 9:30 a.m. on the Weaver Street Market Lawn with music by Tim Stambaugh.
Following the music, there will be a parade at 10:50 a.m. from the Market Lawn to Town Hall.
Enjoy activities including a pie eating contest, face painting, games, inflatables, bingo, food vendors, readings and live music!
Activities run until 4 p.m.
Hillsborough's 3rd Annual Picnic in the Park:
This free event will have activities and crafts for kids, as well as live music from several local bands! The event will last from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the River Park on East Margaret Lane.
Bring picnic blankets and enjoy lunch from one of the many food trucks, including Heavenly Smoke, Taco Grande and The Parlour!
