Nightlight Club hosts a dance party and fundraiser as a joyful celebration of humans and bodies and choice! Come out, donate, support reproductive justice, sweat to summer. Music by DJ Plan B, K Soni, Misha, and Misty Touch. Proceeds go to the Carolina Abortion Fund.

Fridays on the Front Porch at Carolina Inn

Every Friday | 5-8 pm

The Carolina Inn hosts this popular end-of-the-work week celebration with live music, food trucks, and plenty of comfortable seating under the shady oaks and magnolias on the Inn's front lawn. Free.

Movies Under the Stars

TONIGHT - Enjoy a free showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens while you eat free popcorn! We're starting earlier tonight so kids can enjoy face painting, a misting tent, crafts, games, and activities. Free; on the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 East Rosemary Street. Bring chairs or blankets. 

The Beautiful Beast

Paperhand Puppet Intervention's 17th annual summer show runs August 5 - September 5 in the Forest Theatre. Take a look at the monsters and beasts that inhabit our dreams and folktales by peering through different lenses to explore the beauty, monstrousness and magic of these creatures. For details visit

Meet the Heels

Saturday, August 6 | 4-6 pm

Meet UNC athletes and get their autographs! Take photos with Rameses and RJ too. The football team and head coach Larry Fedora will then have an autograph session from 5-6 p.m. There will also be activities including balloon twisters, inflatables, Chapel Hill Sportswear merchandise, food trucks, and  more.  Free.
