Sidewalk Scoop

Now Open: Ackland Museum Store is now located inside the Ackland Art Museum. Tama Tea offers tea, smoothies, sandwiches, and salads. New Owners: A group of friends recently purchased the 95 year old Carolina Coffee Shop and have made facade improvements, added sidewalk dining, and removed the lobby entrance. No plans on renaming it Central Perk. 

Partnership Picks
#TakeUpSpace is Morehead Planetarium and Science Center’s $5.2 million building project to recreate the North Carolina icon as a modern-day, technology-advanced science hub.  Changes include a new entrance, digital displays and ticket kiosk, new science stage, a Launch Lab, and a Lab to Life Exhibit.
