From Town of Chapel Hill Reports 3.3.2017:

Update on the January Maker's Convening:
Thank you for attending (or expressing interest in) the first ever Chapel Hill Maker Convening! Over 70 people attended on Saturday, January 28.

Thanks to the staff of the UNC Kenan Science Library for hosting and giving tours of their makerspaces; and to Ben Harris, the featured speaker from the Alamance Makers Guild and Burlington Mini Maker Faire.

Next Steps:
The next Maker's Convening will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 10:30 am at the Chapel Hill Public Library.

The purpose of the meeting is to launch an organized maker community in Chapel Hill, begin planning a fall Maker Showcase, and discuss upcoming outreach opportunities.
Get more info and RSVP here. If you are interested in sharing your work/creations at the March 18 meeting, please email Michelle Lewis at and describe what you will display and your space requirements.

Burlington is hosting their
Maker Faire on April 22nd. Be sure to check it out, support the regional maker community, and get inspired!
