Sidewalk Scoop

There is plenty happening in Downtown Chapel Hill – here are some of the highlights that may not be on your radar:

1)   Bonchon (which means “My Hometown” in Korean) is now open on Franklin Street (map). This will be the New York City-based chain’s third location in North Carolina. Known for their Korean style fried chicken, the restaurant also specializes in a savory selection of Asian fusion cuisine.”

2)   Tama Tea is changing their hours. The tea shop on Franklin Street (map) with a sister location in downtown Raleigh is available for a boutique tea experience Monday through Friday from 7 AM – 9 PM and weekends from 9 AM-9 PM. If you have a meeting coming up, don't forget about the Think Tank - a private meeting room that can be reserved in advance.

3)   Downtown Chapel Hill is about to get a lot more lively with the opening of CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio at Carolina Square (map). Friday’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11 AM will feature special guests Carol Folt and Emil Kang. Stick around for the Campus and Community Open House at 11:30AM or 5:00PM.
