Free B.A.R.S (Be a Responsible Server) Training

FREE B.A.R.S (Be a Responsible Server) Training

The Chapel Hill Police Department, along with North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, invites all sellers and servers of alcohol to attend Be A Responsible Server (B.A.R.S.) Training on Monday, June 15 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Post Office/Courthouse, 179 East Franklin Street.

The training is FREE and you do not have to register. It is open to all employees, managers, and owners of businesses.

The training will familiarize new and veteran employees of ABC outlets with alcohol laws and regulations; specifically covering sales to underage persons, fraudulent identifications, sales to intoxicated persons, and general ABC laws and regulations.

The training will also include RAISE THE BAR; a bystander intervention training specifically for bar staff, giving them the tools to recognize and intervene when they see warning signs of drug facilitated sexual assault. For more information on Raise the Bar, visit:

The Chapel Hill Police Department is now offering the B.A.R.S Training in your business, scheduled at a day and time that works for you!
