Learn More About the Rosemary Street Improvement Project

The Town of Chapel Hill will begin the Rosemary Street Improvement Project this month. It  will make downtown safer and more pleasant for pedestrians.

Rosemary Street, between Henderson Street and Merritt Mill Road, will get wider sidewalks; improved sidewalk ramps to meet ADA standards; new pedestrian level light fixtures with LED lights; replaced curb and gutter sections and driveway ramps; and a repaved street. Improvements include a brick amenity strip with street trees, bike racks, and trash and recycling containers.
