Free B.A.R.S. (Be A Responsible Server) Training

August 8 - October 17 - December 12


What: Chapel Hill Police Dept. will host a free B.A.R.S. Training Session
Where: Chapel Hill Courthouse, 175 E. Franklin St.
When: 7 pm on August 8, October 17, December 12

The training is FREE and you do not have to register. It is open to all employees, managers, and owners of businesses in Chapel Hill. 

The training will familiarize new and veteran employees of ABC outlets with alcohol laws and regulations; specifically covering sales to underage persons, fraudulent identifications, sales to intoxicated persons, and general ABC laws and regulations.  

The training will also include RAISE THE BAR; a bystander intervention training specifically for bar staff, giving them the tools to recognize and intervene when they see warning signs of drug facilitated sexual assault. NOW OFFERING B.A.R.S. TRAINING IN YOUR BUSINESS
The Chapel Hill Police Department is now offering the B.A.R.S Training in your business, scheduled at a day and time that works for you!  If your staff scheduling doesn't allow you to make it to the August, October, or December B.A.R.S. Trainings, you can schedule a training for your entire staff at a more convenient time.
