Facade Incentive Grant Program
Properties within the Downtown Chapel Hill Municipal Service District are eligible to receive an incentive grant for facade design work through the Facade Incentive Grant Program. Funded by an appropriation from the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership, this incentive is intended to assist property owners and/or business owners in making good design choices that will enhance the unique architectural character of their individual building through an exterior improvement that will support Chapel Hill’s streetscape and enhance their business. Grant funds must be matched and the design plan must be approved by the Downtown Partnership’s Executive Director prior to any construction in order for an owner to be eligible for the funding.
